This unique event brings together teams to build and decorate custom playhouses for local kids. All proceeds help Habitat for Humanity of Ottawa County build affordable homes and complete critical home repairs for families in need.

What’s Involved

 

Bring a team of up to 10 people for a fun, hands-on volunteer day where you’ll assemble and decorate a playhouse kit for a deserving local child. This is a unique team-building experience with a lasting impact.

Habitat for Humanity of Ottawa County will:
 

• Provide the prefabricated playhouse kit

• Supply all paint, paintbrushes, tools, and build instructions

• Transport materials to the build site

• Coordinate with the recipient family (Note: in some cases, families may not be identified far in advance)
   

As a sponsor, your organization will:

• Recruit your build team (up to 10 volunteers, ages 16+)

• Choose your playhouse theme in advance

• Bring any extras you'd like to add — such as stencils, stickers, toys, mini furniture, or themed decorations (optional)

• Ensure all participants complete a brief online waiver before build day
